The Damaging Effects of Color Treatments
After a fresh color treatment, newly-colored locks look radiant and vibrant, however; the damage caused deep inside the hair fiber begins to reveal itself on the surface as pigment fades. Altered by chemical effects of color treatment, the hydrolipidic film that coats hair and prevents it from becoming dehydrated no longer functions as a protective barrier and hair becomes dry, rough and lackluster.
